Celebrate 2026 Chinese New Year at Nori Nori restaurant on Tuesday, February 17th
Dear IBM Atlanta QCC Members: 
 
Happy New Year (新年快樂 - Xīn nián kuài lèr). The official 2026 Chinese New Year falls on Tuesday, February 17, welcoming the Year of the Horse. According to Chinese astrology, people born in Horse years are known for the following characteristics:

  • Boundless Energy – Naturally athletic and highly active; true “doers” who prefer motion over sitting still.

  • Fierce Independence – Strong desire for freedom and autonomy; dislike rigid rules or routines.

  • Natural Charisma – Witty, persuasive, and socially engaging; often the center of attention.

  • Fiery Impatience – High passion and enthusiasm, though sometimes challenged by impatience or long-term consistency.

Horse Years include: 2026, 2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954, 1942, 1930, 1918

 
We are excited to announce that the IBM Atlanta QCC will host our annual Chinese New Year Luncheon at:
  • Nori Nori restaurant located at  6690 Roswell Rd Suite 2110, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 
  • Tuesday, February 17, 2026; from 11:30am to 2:30pm

The regular lunch buffet price at Nori Nori is $21.99, excluding soft drinks, tax, and gratuity. For this event, each QCC member and 1 guest (spouse or guest) will pay $21 per person. IBM Atlanta QCC Board will cover the remaining cost.

The lunch includes a hot bar buffet, noodle soup, a variety of delicious sushi, Hibachi Grill, assorted desserts, tax and gratuity.

  • About Our IBM Atlanta QCC Club

    Our club was formed many years ago to promote social and community activities for current and former IBM employees with 25 years of service or more. Our club receives no funding from or sponsorship by IBM. We do thank IBM for allowing us to use their auditorium for our annual meetings.

    Our purpose is to enjoy one another's companionship while participating in our many social and volunteer activities.

    We recruit new members from the recently inducted QCC list provided by IBM Atlanta. However, we rely heavily on our membership to encourage eligible IBMers to join our Club. We also count on all members to contribute their ideas, suggestions, and their time for volunteer activities.

    Membership is voluntary and while you must qualify as an IBM Quarter Century employee, membership in the Atlanta QCC is not an automatic extension of IBM's 25 year qualification. You must join our chapter and pay the annual dues which are currently $10.00 per year.
